Easy!
1 lb of whole wheat pasta (must be whole wheat)
1 lemon (unless you're allergic and then you have to figure out your own substitute)
3 cloves of garlic
salt, pepper
3 tbsp of capers
good, healthy bunch of fresh basil
olive oil
3, 4 oz wild salmon steaks
Get that pasta going, don't forget to salt your water peeps.
In the meantime, heat a skillet with some olive oil, season your salmon steaks with salt and pepper and get them going in skillet. 2 minutes on each side.
For sauce:
as much or little olive oil as you like in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, lemon zest and then the juice from your lemon. Add fresh basil chopped, chop your garlic and then add and then capers. a little more oil, salt and pepper.
Grab your plate of dark greens (whichever you prefer). Don't drain pasta. Instead use tongs to grab a good bunch and add to sauce. toss in sauce and add a little pasta water and toss again. Add pasta to greens and check your salmon. Salmon's done. Add to top of pasta and a little more olive oil and voila! ( I top mine off with fresh grated parmesan)
easy.
Not for caper haters or people who are allergic to lemons. Just saying.
p.s. I finally came up with a name for my turkey chili.
Ass Explosion Turkey Chili

Some pumpkin pie would go great with that whole wheat pasta. Must be pumpkin with the must be whole wheat. What a great combo!
